No cookies or tracking

Lobbyists.uk does not set or read cookies. It does not use analytics services, advertising or remarketing pixels, device fingerprinting, local storage, session storage, user accounts, web forms or embedded third-party content.

Because the site does not store information on a visitor's device or access information already stored there, it does not display a cookie consent banner. If this technology policy changes, this notice and the site's consent approach must be reviewed before the change is deployed.

Personal data we use and where it comes from

• Directory profile data: names, professional roles, employers, locations, public business contact details, policy interests, photographs and related professional information obtained from company websites, official registers such as Companies House and ORCL, professional profiles, public statements and information supplied to the directory.
• Public vacancy data: job titles, employers, locations, working arrangements, salaries where published, role summaries and official application links obtained from employer-controlled career pages and recruitment systems.
• Correspondence: names, email addresses, message contents, attachments and related records when someone requests a listing, correction, right of reply or other response.
• Technical request data: IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, response status, timestamp and security information received by hosting and network infrastructure when a page is requested.

Alcohol Ltd does not intentionally collect special-category personal data or criminal-offence data for directory profiles. Please do not send such information unless it is genuinely necessary and lawful to do so.

Job applications and employer websites

Lobbyists.uk has no application forms, candidate accounts or CV-upload facility and does not collect application data through this website. Please do not send CVs, identity documents, references or other recruitment material to add@lobbyists.uk; unsolicited material sent to the directory address may be deleted without review.

When you follow an application link, you leave Lobbyists.uk and provide information directly to the named hiring organisation or its recruitment-system provider. Where Alcohol Ltd is the named hiring organisation, applications sent to the dedicated Alcohol.co.uk recruitment address are processed separately by Alcohol Ltd for recruitment under the Alcohol.co.uk Privacy Policy ↗. Read the applicable external privacy notice before submitting an application.

Why we use personal data and our lawful bases

• To research, publish, maintain and correct a public-interest directory of UK lobbying organisations and associated people. Alcohol Ltd relies on its legitimate interests in transparency, accurate public information and operating the directory.
• To research, publish, check and remove a limited number of public vacancy listings with direct employer links. Alcohol Ltd relies on legitimate interests in maintaining useful, accurate and relevant directory content.
• To assess listing requests, corrections, objections and rights enquiries, and to maintain an audit trail. Alcohol Ltd relies on legitimate interests in responding, ensuring accuracy and protecting legal rights.
• To deliver, secure and defend the website against misuse. Alcohol Ltd relies on legitimate interests in service delivery, network security and fraud prevention.
• To comply with legal or regulatory obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.

Alcohol Ltd does not use personal data from Lobbyists.uk for behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking or solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Who receives personal data?

Personal data may be handled by carefully selected hosting, infrastructure, email, security and IT suppliers acting for Alcohol Ltd; professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers; regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where disclosure is lawful; and a purchaser or successor if Alcohol Ltd or this service is reorganised or transferred.

Alcohol Ltd does not sell personal data. If a supplier processes personal data outside the United Kingdom, Alcohol Ltd will use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by UK data protection law.

How long is information kept?

• Published profile information is retained while the entry remains relevant and lawful. Source, correction and removal records may be retained where necessary to demonstrate accuracy, decisions or legal compliance.
• Listing, correction and legal correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to deal with the matter, maintain an appropriate record and establish or defend claims. Material relevant to a dispute may be retained for up to six years after closure.
• Technical security logs are retained according to the shortest practical hosting and security settings and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, receive certain data in a portable format and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. These rights are not absolute and lawful exemptions may apply.

Children

Lobbyists.uk is a professional public-affairs directory and is not directed at children. Alcohol Ltd does not knowingly create profiles of children or solicit their personal information through the site.

This notice may be updated when the directory, suppliers, law or processing activities change. Material changes will be reflected on this page before new processing begins where required.
